Eddy’s Insurance Group is owned and operated by local Wichita, Kansas businessman, Johnny Steven.  In 2014 Johnny saw the great opportunity of adding insurance agency offices within local car dealerships. He became an insurance agent when they opened their first location within Eddy’s Toyota and started expanding his team quickly in all the Eddy’s Dealerships in Wichita. In 2017 Johnny’s wife, Jenni, started Eddy’s Independent Group with a vision to provide both personal and commercial lines of insurance.

To further their growth, they purchased their first location outside of a dealership and expanded by creating EIG Insurance Center as an umbrella to house both agencies and to allow them to work in tandem. In 2019, they expanded into California and are continuing to grow.

Johnny and Jenni are actively involved in the community and volunteers their time and contributions to the American Youth Soccer Organization, Pheasants Forever, Genesis Foundation for Fitness & Tennis (GFFT), and the American Cancer Society.  One of their favorite programs that EIG Insurance Center is involved in is the Beds for Kids Program. Beds for Kids was started in 2020 with EIG Insurance Center in partnership with GFFT to help donate new beds to under resourced children living in the community. Their dedication has resulted in the donation of over 400 beds to kids in need in the Wichita area.

Johnny also is an active partner in many business ventures with his brothers Rodney and Brandon which include co-owning the Wichita Thunder hockey organization.

Johnny and Jenni have four children (Brayden, Johnny II, Barrett, and Valynn) and a dog (Maverick). Brayden, a University of Kansas graduate, is a full time member of the agency. Both Johnny II and Barrett work within agency between their school and sports schedules.
